We Are The Gladstone Seafarers Centre

The Gladstone Seafarers Centre is a human rights and welfare charity that works with domestic and international Seafarers. Every year 60,000 Seafarers visit the Gladstone port. They are a contributing factor as to why Gladstone continues to thrive as Queensland’s largest multi commodity port city. Seafarers visiting Gladstone can be assured that they will be able to find a friendly smile and a listening ear each and every time they visit our port city.

The level of support offered by the Gladstone Seafarers Centre (GSC) varies from ship to ship depending on their requirements. It can be as simple as safe and reliable transport to the local shopping centre or a free cup of coffee. The support services of the GSC team are available 24 hours a day 365 days per year. Whether it be for a ship or hospital visit, to assist them to make contact with loved ones at home or to simply be there to listen, when a Seafarer is in need the team at the GSC can answer their call.
